About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced sales professional from the maritime sector to join the Targray family. Based in Athens, this individual will leverage their industry relationships, knowledge of vessel/fleet owners, and commercial expertise in shipping or related areas to help build and grow Targray’s activities in this emerging market while helping expand Targray’s presence in Greece and across the Eastern Mediterranean.
This is a remote/home-office role based out of Athens, Greece,
Responsibilities
- Lead Targray’s commercial activities in the Fuel EU Maritime compliance market.
- Develop and expand relationships with vessel/fleet owners, charterers, and other key maritime stakeholders.
- Execute sales trades and negotiate agreements to support customer compliance with Fuel EU Maritime regulations.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the maritime sector, leveraging established networks.
- Provide market insights and strategy recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate closely with credit, legal, and operations teams to ensure efficient transaction flow.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Maritime Studies, or related field. (Master’s degree is an asset).
- 3–5 years of experience in a role within the maritime sector (marine fueling, vessel chartering, shipping services, or related).
- Strong knowledge of vessel/fleet owners and established industry network in Greece (international exposure is an asset).
- Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or trading within the maritime industry.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills; comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Fluent in English and Greek. proficiency in another European language is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license required, as the role involves regular travel and in-person meetings in Greece.
