Senior People and Culture Manager

Montreal, QC, Canada - Full Time

Targray est à la recherche d’un(e) gestionnaire, Personnes et culture pour diriger la fonction RH à l’échelle globale et agir comme partenaire stratégique auprès de la haute direction. 

Relevant directement du Président, la personne titulaire du poste jouera un rôle clé dans l’alignement des pratiques RH avec les objectifs d’affaires, tout en assurant une gestion rigoureuse, humaine et conforme des enjeux liés aux talents, aux relations de travail et aux opérations RH. 

Il s’agit d’un rôle très opérationnel, axé sur la collaboration avec les leaders, la prise de décision éclairée et le soutien à la performance et à la santé organisationnelle. 

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES: 

Partenariat stratégique et rôle-conseil RH  

  • Agir comme principal(e) partenaire RH auprès du Président et de l’équipe de direction 

  • Conseiller les gestionnaires sur la gestion de la performance, la planification de la main-d’œuvre et les situations humaines sensibles 

  • Offrir un accompagnement RH pour l’ensemble des régions  

Relations de travail, gestion des risques et conformité 

  • Superviser les dossiers de relations de travail, enquêtes et cessations d’emploi, en collaboration avec les conseillers juridiques au besoin 

  • Assurer des décisions cohérentes, équitables, bien documentées et juridiquement défendables 

  • Veiller à la conformité aux normes du travail du Québec (LNT, CNESST), au droit canadien et aux exigences internationales 

  • Agir comme point d’escalade pour les situations complexes ou à risque élevé 

Rémunération et pratiques de reconnaissance  

  • Appliquer et encadrer le cadre de rémunération de l’entreprise (augmentations salariales, promotions, bonis) 

  • Conseiller la direction sur l’équité interne, l’alignement au marché et les risques de compression 

  • Assurer une gouvernance rigoureuse et cohérente des décisions de rémunération 

Opérations RH et expérience employé  

  • Superviser les opérations RH globales (paie, SIRH – SAP SuccessFactors, avantages sociaux, onboarding et offboarding) 

  • Diriger l’acquisition de talents pour les régions hors Inde 

  • Suivre l’expérience employé en début de parcours (30-90 jours), l’engagement et l’attrition précoce 

Leadership 

  • Développer et diriger une équipe RH agile et très efficace 

  • Établir les priorités, objectifs et attentes de performance pour l’ensemble de l’équipe RH 

  • Cultiver la collaboration, clarifier les rôles  

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPÉRIENCE 

  • Baccalauréat en ressources humaines, relations industrielles, administration ou domaine connexe  

  • Membre de l’Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA ou CRIA). (en cours) 

  • 10+ ans d'expérience dans le domaine de la gestion des talents idéalement dans un environnement mondial 

  • Solide expertise en relations de travail et en accompagnement de cadres 

  • Excellente connaissance des lois du travail québécoises et canadiennes 

  • Expérience dans les programmes et processus de gestion des talents tels que l'intégration, la gestion de la performance, la revue des talents et révision salariale 

  • Bilinguisme français / anglais requis

Job Summary
The Senior People & Culture Manager is the senior people leader reporting directly to the President, responsible for leading People & Culture across Targray’s global operations. This role partners closely with executives, oversees people operations and talent functions, and ensures consistent, compliant, and effective people practices across regions.

The Senior People & Culture Manager leads a lean global team, including People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Country HR (India), and plays an active role in employee relations, compensation application, and executive advisory. The role is hands-on, business-focused, and closely aligned with leadership in supporting organizational performance and organizational health.

Responsibilities
Executive & HR Business Partnering
  • Act as the primary HR advisor to the President and executive team
  • Provide HR Business Partner support for all regions outside India
  • Advise leaders on performance management, workforce planning, and sensitive people matters
  • Support and guide executives through sensitive people matters with sound judgment and discretion         
Employee Relations, Risk & Compliance
  • Lead and oversee employee relations matters, investigations, and terminations (with legal counsel as required)
  • Ensure people decisions are consistent, fair, well-documented, and defensible
  • Ensure compliance with Québec employment standards (ALS, CNESST), Canadian employment law, and applicable international regulations
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-risk people matters
Compensation & Rewards
  • Apply and govern the company’s compensation framework, including:
    • Salary reviews and increases
    • Promotions and role changes
    • Bonus and incentive administration (where applicable)
  • Advise leadership on market alignment, internal equity, and compression risks
  • Ensure compensation decisions are consistent, documented, and aligned with company guidelines
  • Escalate exceptions and framework changes to executive leadership
  • Compensation framework design remains with executive leadership
People Operations Oversight (Global)
  • Lead and oversee People Operations globally, in partnership with HR Ops roles
  • Ensure effective delivery and governance across:
    • Payroll/Third Party Employers
    • HRIS (SAP SuccessFactors)
    • Benefits administration
    • Onboarding and offboarding standards
Talent & Early Employee Experience
  • Lead Talent Acquisition through the Global Recruiter (non-India regions)
  • Partner on hiring quality, assessment consistency, and offer governance
  • Oversee early employee experience initiatives, including 30-90 day check-ins
  • Monitor early attrition and engagement trends and surface insights to leadership
People Leadership
  • Lead and develop a team which is intentionally lean and globally distributed
  • Set priorities, objectives, and performance expectations
  • Foster collaboration across regions while maintaining clarity, accountability, and governance
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CHRP / CRHA designation preferred (or in progress)
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive People & Culture / HR experience, including senior HR leadership responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience supporting executives and leading complex employee relations matters
  • Strong working knowledge of Québec employment legislation (ALS, CNESST) and Canadian employment practices
  • Experience overseeing compensation administration, performance management, and HR operations
  • Exposure to global or multi-jurisdictional work environments preferred
  • Excellent bilingual proficiency is required written and verbal in English and French.
    • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US, and other countries across the globe where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
